Welcome Friends!
Hi, I’m Laura — mom to three wild boys, living a beautifully chaotic life in North Carolina. I turned my love of gardening into a full-time job because I’ve never been one to sit still. I feel most like myself when I’m outside, hands in the dirt, surrounded by growing things.
Whether I’m tending the garden, caring for the chickens and honey bees, preserving the harvest, cooking, cleaning, or keeping up with my boys, I’m always moving — and I wouldn’t have it any other way. This life may not be what I originally pictured, but now, I can’t imagine living any other way. It’s the blessing I didn’t know I was looking for.

Grow
Learning to garden gave me self-confidence. When I started on this journey 9 years ago, I was lost. Not knowing who I was anymore or who I wanted to be. I remember my dad showing me how to prune a tomato plant and then walking away. He just said you can do it. I was so afraid I’d ruin the rest of them. But I did it. Now I teach others how.
Learn
The more I’ve learned about gardening and canning and all the things… I’ve just loved it. I love expanding my knowledge bank. There is always more to learn in homesteading. Seeing all I’ve accomplished and things I’ve built myself that I never thought I’d be able to do has been an amazing experience.
Share
I started sharing what I was learning on TikTok in 2021. Suddenly people were following me and asking questions so they could learn too. I never knew my page would grow so much or that I would really love teaching people how to garden, keep chickens, tend to bees, and so much more. Sharing knowledge is a blessing.

The boy with the beet? That’s Deaglan when he was like 7. He would wait for me to wash the freshly harvested beets and start cutting them before he would slip pieces off the cutting board to eat raw!
Gabriel is my youngest and is definitely in the garden the most! He has really enjoyed learning all the things and will share garden pictures and what he’s learned during show and tell at school <3
The cute little blueberry picker is now 16 years old! Connor is definitely all over the place being a teenager, but he helps on the homestead whenever I ask.
